TriMatrix Added to the U.S. EPA Emergency Response Laboratory Network

GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN (June 23, 2010) – TriMatrix Laboratories, Inc. (TriMatrix), is pleased to announce that it has been added to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Emergency Response Laboratory Network /Water Laboratory Alliance (ERLN/WLA).

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) has the responsibility of enhancing national capabilities for decontamination and disposal as a result of terrorist events and environmental sampling and analysis of all environmental matrices in response to nationally significant incidents. The U.S. EPA created the ERLN to protect the nation from the potential threats posed by terrorism or environmental emergencies. The WLA was developed by the EPA’s Office of Water and exists as the water component of the ELRN.

“We are proud that the EPA selected TriMatrix to be part of the Emergency Response Laboratory Network,” said Doug Kriscunas, President of TriMatrix. “The qualifications process included a comprehensive review of a mandatory ISO 17025 compliant quality system, staff qualifications, analytical method capabilities, and overall experience.”

The mission of the ERLN and WLA is to provide known integrated national network of laboratory capabilities, capacities, and quality data in a scalable, systematic, and coordinated response to environmental emergencies providing preparedness, response, remediation and recovery analytical support.
